Best Way of Using Money

I was at a petrol kiosk buying coffee. Noticed a hard labourer lining up in front of me, he was clutching a bottle of water and a sandwich. As he was making payment, his total bill was lesser than my cup of coffee. He opened up is wallet, the notes were all crumpled up. There was barely anything in the wallet.

I gave my credit card to the cashier and told her that I will pay for his items. The labourer was surprised by my gesture. I told him that it is my birthday, so there is no need to thank me. He walked away without saying anything. No. That day is not my birthday.

I will not go broke or starve by buying him a water and sandwich. But that money him will make his day. Sometimes, it is not about throwing money around and proof that we are rich and mighty. Small gesture in the most unexpected situation has the most impact.

If you can spare a few dollars, use it to make someone's day.
