Living Kindfully

Completed: 30 Days Compliment and Gratitude Challenge

I have just completed the 30 days compliment and gratitude challenge. Where the last 30 days I need to give one compliment and express gratitude to two different persons.

When I first started this challenge, I thought it is a simple and no brainer challenge. Soon, I noticed that I must make the effort to complete the challenge. The opportunity to give a compliment or express gratitude does not always come naturally. I also learn to look the lighter side of things and keep my mood up. If I am always in a bad mood, I will not see any moments in my life that I feel good or grateful for.

There is also the temptation to cheat during the challenge. No one would know, right? Wrong! I would know and I do not think I could live with it as I am the one who gave myself that challenge.

Did I gain anything from this challenge? The greatest thing that I have gain is the ability to see things in a more positive lens. My day is made up by people who performed their roles, so I can enjoy the day and success in my activities. Without them playing their role, I would be frustrated and angry. I also learned not to take the help that I received for granted. Many times, those who helped me are not obligated to do so but they choose to help. For their actions, I am eternally grateful.
