Living Kindfully

Do This When You Have No Network and No Skills

A lot of my students complained to me that they are not from a rich family. Therefore, they do not have the family network to get good jobs. Obviously, the lack of good skills is also another factor for lack of opportunities.

One of the most effective ways to build a good network is through charity work. I have been doing charity work for more than 10 years. All the time, I would volunteer for the toughest responsibility. Most of the time, it requires me to carry heavy stuffs and leading a small group of people. The last 10 years, I have met many talented individuals with a big heart. This is how I build relationships and my skillsets.

I have learned how to lead without authority. Having the resilience for getting loads of "No" while raising funds. Do a good job without any expectations any rewards. Throughout this period, I have received many advice and opportunities from my seniors.

When you are able to build a reputation as a reliable person. Doors would open up for you. Normally, it takes about six months of weekly volunteering to see the results of your hard work.

If you are feeling down and beaten by life? Every week, volunteer 2 hours of your time at your favourite charity organisation. During those 2 hours, work as hard as possible. Consistently do that for six months, your life will change. I guarantee it.
