Don't Disappoint Yourself
I just drove 3.5 hours for business. My back is killing me due to the drive. I got home around 10:30pm. The kids are in their room and wife is getting ready to sleep. I could have gone to bed, but I made a promise to myself that I should exercise every alternative day. I have already missed one day due to work. Therefore, I must exercise tonight, and I run 2km.
I have at least two excuses not to exercise. I am tired from the drive, and my lower back is in pain. These are perfect excuses, but I cannot disappoint myself. If I find excuses to avoid things that are difficult, I will not reach my goals. Skipping one day of exercise is nothing, but the days and excuses quickly adds up. By the time I realise it, it is too late and time are wasted.
So don't disappoint yourself. There are no excuses, just get it done.
