Entrepreneurship: Sometimes You Have to be Thick Skin

As I am typing this post, I am waiting in a cafe for nearly 1.5 hours. I do not know how long I need to wait. A potential client told me that he is around this area this time. I texted him that I am also "coincidently" in this area as well. We have been discussing an on-off deal for a long time. I finally have the resources to full fill his requirements. Thus, I need to see him face to face.

Begin with the end in mind is the 2nd habit of Seven Habits of Highly Effective People. The outcome that I need is to win the business deal, therefore I have to put my ego aside and do whatever that's necessary.

I have been sipping my coffee for hours and it is now ice cold. I need to be thick skin to create opportunities to see the client. I have to feel no shame that I ordered just one drink and take up the seat for hours. If I am thin skinned, the chances of securing deals are low.

If you know what you want from life, be ready to take whatever action to get it. Your ego has no say over it.

Note: Managed to meet up with the person. The chance of securing the business is good. I have waited in the cafe for 2 hours. I am grateful that the client called and tell me his location.
