Having Bad Luck? Clean Your House!
This week I had a string of unfortunate events. I lost a major customer. A cabinet in the house broke. There are signs of water leak in the bathroom where I could not find the source. My wife's car broke down and she got stranded by the roadside. Obviously, all these need money to fix when I am already on a tight budget.
I do feel sorry and upset for myself. I would also start to gather things that I do not use in the house and office. The things can be anything. From clothes to stationaries. The criteria are as follows:
- Will I use it within the next 90 days?
- Does it still bring me joy?
- Does it hold any meanings or significant?
If the answers are no. It is either going into the recycle basket or the rubbish bin. What does it have to do with bad luck? I believe that by throwing away things that I do not need, it releases the bad energy from the environment. The act of cleaning give me a sense of control. Sometimes our life is not about adding but reducing. The less clutter, the clearer are our minds.
