Having Your Broken Heart is Part of Growing Up
I just got home, and my wife whispered to me that my youngest son's glass table is broken. She whispered to me that I should not get upset and ask him what happened.
My son was in tears, he told me that he has relationship problems. I was rather stumped by the situation. I do not know how to handle it as I too am hopeless in managing relationship issues.
In broad stroke, that's what I told him....
Having your heart broken is part of growing up. It is a form of maturity where we surrender our heart and trust to someone. It is a risk that we have to take. There is no shame that someone would does not return the same feelings back to us. It is part of life. You will face more heart-breaking things in life. It is important to man-up and be the most responsible person. Responsible to your life, to the family, to your studies etc. Soon, you will evolve to someone that none of your friends will recognise you. Whatever that you do, be it exercise, work and studies. Give it your best. Let your life speak for itself and your heart will heal.
