How to Calm Down During Stressful Period

I am a panicky person. Anything goes wrong, I would panic. When I panic I make mistakes. I have tried many ways to calm down myself quickly. The box-breathing method is the most effective way.

  1. Take a deep breath for 4 seconds.
  2. Hold the breath for 4 seconds.
  3. Exhale the breath for 4 seconds.

Repeat the steps 10 times, you will find your heart beat slower and feel calmer. Now, you can deal with whatever challenges that you are facing with a clearer mind. Even if you are not in a crisis, give this method a try. A slower heart beat and more oxygen in the body helps with both immune system and thinking.
