Living Kindfully

How You See the World is How the World Treats You

Due to a few bad business experiences, I develop certain animosity towards certain type of clients. I try to be at my best behaviour, but I am still clouded by previous bad experiences. Therefore, I go in with each interaction with a negative mindset. Obviously, my success rates with such clients are very low.

My business partner advice that I had a few bad experiences with such clients. Not all are bad. When I see the world with such negative lens, obviously I will be treated as such. I know she is right. Deep down it is hard for me to change my perspective, I can do my best to see other clients in a more positive perspective. Even if I may encounter dishonest or bad clients, the very least I have given them the benefit of the doubt.

You do not have to see everyone in a positive light. We are not saints, therefore there is no need to force ourselves when our heart tells us not to. The very least, give the person the benefit of the doubt. Remain on guard but expect the person to be professional and kind. If necessary, be ready to walk away.
