Living Kindfully

It is Okay to Wear a Mask

Lately, I find myself feeling upset at certain things that are outside of my control. I wish things can be different, but I am powerless. I know what I can do to make a difference, but time and resources is not on my side. In a nutshell, I have to suck it up. I have to wear an all-smiling mask, pretending that things all okay. Each moment is a reminder that I have to strive and make a difference in my life. Otherwise, I am doom to repeat the loop again and again. That's why it is okay to wear a mask. A mask will not reveal your true feelings. The mask will let your enemies think that you are harmless when you are not. Wearing a mask will not put yourself in an embarrassing situation where you have expressed your displeasure but powerless to make a difference. It is a worst case scenario, your enemies knows how you feel. They will not hesitate to put you down because they know you are a threat. When that happens, you are powerless to defend, and your enemies know what hurts you. Until you are ready to fight, wear a mask. It is okay to suffer silently. When the time comes, you are put down your mask and finally stand up for yourself.
