Laughing at Other's Religious Practice
Someone shared me a video where a person is getting some kind of medical treatment through a religious ceremony. The intention of the video was meant to share and joke about such practises. I did not share the video or reply to that message.
- The practise is another person's religious practice. I am not familiar with that religion. Therefore, I have no comment.
- The ceremony does not have any scientific evidence to show it will cure the patient. It does not mean it will not work. In additional, the ceremony could be the patient's last hope. Who are we to deny that hope?
Maybe I am old school, I thought by having information freely available on the internet will encourage dialog and understanding. Instead, this has created echo chamber that has further divide us.
While I did not share the video, I say a prayer for that person. I hope the person will recover and live a fruitful life.
