Living Kindfully

Let Your Children Grows at their Own Pace

Both of my children are going to universities. Looking back, I have no idea how I managed to pull through. I still remember the fights and arguments in the house. The written complaints from the teachers. The sleepless nights wondering how they will pass their exams, and the worries how can I pay for their school fees.

I cannot take credit for their achievements. At best, I showed them not to give up and keep trying. I worked two jobs since 2012 to support the family and went full time as a businessperson in 2023.

I let them grow at their own pace, I provide guidance, not commands. I am also guilty of being a rebel and created problems for my parents. Yelling does not work in my household.

I believe that everyone is born good and wise. Children do not learn by yelling but through feelings and experience. Children learn to be resilient when they see resilience. Children learn to love when they see love. Please give time for your children to grow up. Everyone grows at their own pace. So do you.
