Love Needs Courage
As of writing, social media is flooded with videos of an abandon monkey called Punch being bullied by other monkeys and carrying a plushie for comfort. Video of the monkey being pushed and dragged by other macaques broke many viewers heart. Nevertheless, news outlet also shared that the baby monkey is slowly integrating into the troop.
I was also in tears when seeing Punch hiding away from the troop, finding comfort from the plushie. Punch also made me smile when he reaches out to other monkeys for acceptance. Punch is only six months old and has the courage to reach out for love despite the many rejections. Many of us would have given up and accepted our faith. Reflecting back to my life, how many times I have given up just because of a small setback? I dare to say countless!
Whatever that you are doing, and you know you are doing out of love, you have to do it with courage. The courage is not about winning but the courage to have your heart broken and try again. Love needs courage.
