Living Kindfully

My Car My Sanctuary

My car is my sanctuary. When I reach my office or home. I would sit in the car and ponder for a few minutes. It is those few minutes; I am not anyone else but myself. I am not a business owner. I am not a father. I am not a son. I am not a husband. I am just me.

It is these silent moments where I can recalibrate my thoughts and emotions. We are all tired from responsibilities and burden that bestow upon us. We should not bring work problem back home and home problem to work. Carrying these problems away from its source does not solve it. In fact, it gets mixed up with other problems.

As I sit in the car listening to my breathing. I wonder how many more breath is left in this lifetime. Having problems and issues are part of life. None of us can avoid it. We can only temporarily put it down.

As I get out from the car, I have another role to play and other problems to face. But I am energised, and I can take big steps to my next destination.
