My Monday Starts on Sunday
This is controversial. Please feel free to disagree with me. As a business owner, I am constantly thinking about my business. My children are already reaching adulthood; they require lesser attention than they were younger.
My Monday starts on Sunday night. On Sunday night, I would plan out my week and answer whatever e-mails that I need to reply. Both e-mails and planning does not take more than two hours. After which, I would spend about an hour going through documents or quotations that I need to prepare. That's how I start my week.
Having a good start of the week give me a psychological edge over my competitors. I feel good about myself. Also, I do not have to worry or wonder about what I need to do when Monday comes. I just have to go with my calendar or task lists. What I hate is feeling loss or uncertain during my most productive hours.
I have been doing it for years and this practice has served me well. I do not work more than 3 hours in the evening. There is still time for the family.
