My USD4,704.36 Loss | Running Away from My Problems
I started a routine of running 2 kilometers in the morning and another 3 kilometers at night. Both runs do not take up a lot of time. If I have to run longer, I will not have the motivation to do it.
The morning run helps to set the tone for the day. During the run, I listen to business podcast. Most of the episodes are highlights and lessons of famous company's development. These stories give me ideas and encouragements that I am not alone. Whatever issues that I am facing, someone else has already overcome it.
The evening runs is a way to avoid doom scrolling on my phone. If I am not doom-scrolling, I would be checking my emails or work when I am already tired from the day's work. During the run, I listen to history podcast or long form interview podcast on any topic that captures my attention. Both the exercise and podcast are to get my mind off my life. Otherwise, I would overthink about my problems. Overthinking is a death spiral; I would end up stressed, helpless and a mixture of feelings.
I am running away from my problems. At least those moments when my feet are hitting the pavement, I am not worrying about my problems.
