We have Enough Distractions
On my phone, I have at least 5 social media apps, 2 email apps, 1 ebook app, 1 music streaming app and 1 video streaming app. In my house, there is the television and stack of books waiting for me to read. We cannot get bored anymore.
We have enough distractions. There are so much distractions that we have stopped caring about our development and growth. Instead of exercising, learning or connect with our love ones, we choose to stare at screens. Distractions is like eating junk food. A little junk food brings a smile. If we only eat junk food, our health will take a dive. The same applies to distractions.
Before you spend your hard-earned money on something, ask yourself whether you are buying distraction? If yes, delay your purchase for 24 hours. If you still want it, then buy it. Normally after 24 hours, you will not want it anymore. This practice reduces your impulse buying and things that you do not need.
Remember, we have enough distractions. What we all need is more concentration. That's by having less.
