What is Your New Normal?
I completed my first marathon in 2019. I crossed the finishing line about 10 minutes before cut off time.
Before I took up the challenge of full marathon, I was worried about not finishing or timed out from the event. I never ran that far in my life. I think I spent more time worrying about the distance than the actual run time.
Since completing the event, I have been wondering whether I can improve my time or seek out new challenges. What scared me become my new normal. Sometimes, the thing that scared us the most is the thing that we needed to do. Once we have overcome the fear, it comes our new normal.
What could be your new normal? Do not be afraid of challenges as the next you is waiting on the other side. Remember, you did not come this far to come this far.
