When Your Good Friend is Very Sick
I am emotionally disturbed and I could not gather my thoughts very well. Therefore, I am just letting my fingers do the talking. A good friend is very sick. He is 69 years old. He lives in Thailand and we would exchange tips on healthy living. He is probably the last person whom I expect to fall really sick. The sickness now has spread all over the body.
I know we all will die someday but going away due to sickness when you spend all your life trying to live healthy seems like a big joke from life. I am about 20 years junior than him and I still live a hard charging life. There are still many things that I want to do and study. Will I be contended if I received similar news?
One of the worst feelings is standing by the sideline not able to do a single thing. I heard the news from his wife. He has chosen not to tell me. I will respect his decision.
We all talk a good game about how we can face life's crisis. We never know until it comes knocking on our door. Today's sun will rise again. Make today count before it is too late. May you be well, happy and healthy.
