Why I only Judge By Effort
As I was cleaning an old cabinet, I found some artwork from my children's school days. Those are simple stick figures with smiley faces. It has no art value, but it is filled with memories for the family.
Why these artworks meant so much to me? Because I see my children's effort. At that point of time, they gave their best and was proudly showed it to me. I appreciate their effort.
I know of many business leaders who only look at outcomes and not effort. I agree that such mentality make them highly successful but I question the sustainability of success. There are many external factor that drives the outcome of success. The only factor that we can control is our own effort.
Putting in effort means we have to give our best consistently. Not all effort will result in success, without effort the chances of susccess is even lesser. As such, live each day by focusing on your effort to reach your goals. Not a days are good days. As you accumulate your effort, the number of good days will outweight the number of bad days. Take one day at a time and give it your best.
