I have a complicated folder management system. As such, finding files or folders take quite a few clicks or keystrokes. Since I started using this tool called Everything by Voidtools, I have never used File Explorer to perform any search.
The tool is simple enough to use.
- When I need to search for a file or a folder. I click on the "Everything" icon. Which is located in the menu bar.
- Type the folder name or file name that I want to see.
- The results are instant. Click on the folder or the file.
- If you click on the folder, Windows will pull up the File Explorer screen and show the directory.
- If you click on the file, Windows will run the file.
