Living Kindfully

Good or Bad? Nobody Knows

One of the buildings that I used to service had a massive fire. I lost the site in July, and the fire happened in November. I learned that there will be a lawsuit from the owners against the management company as the firefighting system was not working during the fire.

This building has a new management company, the new management brought in their panel insurance provider. Thus, I was dropped during the renewal period. I was upset when I lost the site. Upon learning about the fire, losing the site is a blessing in disguised. The massive fire loss would have burned my portfolio. I am saddened by the fire loss, as I know some of the owners. I still give some advice to the owners, but it is not my account anymore. The owners have to work with the management and the adjusters to get their claims.

Good or bad, nobody knows. The committee brought in a new management company thinking that the new company can improve the building. Unfortunately, it did not happen. I lose the site; I was worried about my sales performance. I avoided a massive fire claim by luck.

We are quick to judge when something happened. Yet, if we extend the timeline further the outcome of the incident can either be good or bad. We never know. When something happens, don't feel happy too soon and also don't feel sad too quick.
