How I Improve My Sleep

For many years, I have been fighting to have a good night sleep. Due to stress and issues from life, I hardly get a good night sleep. Even I sleep early, I would be tossing on the bed.

So far these are the remedies and routines that I found helpful.

  1. Unload your mind before bedtime. Before sleeping, I would write this blog and plan the following day's schedule.
  2. No alcohol before bedtime. Not even a beer.
  3. Stop the doom scrolling, put down the phone and go to bed. Doom scrolling does not relax the mind.
  4. Avoid coffee after 3pm.
  5. Stay active throughout the day. Aim to walk 10,000 steps a day. Or do any kind of exercise for at least 20 minutes.
  6. If the weather is too hot, take a cold shower before bed.
