Just Do Once More
I am now preparing for my fourth paper in Associateship of Asian Institute of Insurance (AAii) Level 2. Time flies that I am already halfway into my certification. The certification format is not easy as I need to complete two test, one assignment and one examination for each paper. This certification method ensures that the student study consistently.
Each certification takes about 120 days to complete. Normally I dedicate about 25 minutes every day to study. After completing 3 papers, I find that 25 minutes every day is not enough. I would read flashcards whenever I can and practise as many past year questions as possible.
There are days where I have no motivations to study, I would tell myself to study 5 minutes. When 5 minutes is up, I tell myself to it once more. Once more and once more. If I have to wait for motivation to come, it is unlikely I can come this far.
The same applies to whatever that we want to do. We cannot only rely on motivations.
- Breakdown the task to one small chunk.
- Do the task.
- When complete, do it once more.
- Repeat.
