Over Relied on NotebookLM, I nearly Failed my Test
Today I nearly failed my second test on Insurance Marketing under AAII Level 2 certification. I over relied on NotebookLM to help me with my studies. I did all pass year papers and nearly failed.
- I did not read the textbook. I relied on NotebookLM's summary function.
- I did not read specific sections of the textbook. The summary of NotebookLM has skimmed many topics.
- The test asked a question that I did not read on my summary notes.
If I have read the textbook and studied each chapter section, I would be better prepared. In a nutshell, I was lazy and took the easy way out by only reading the summaries. I should have:
- Read the textbook before asking NotebookLM to summarising the chapter.
- Besides doing past year exams questions, ask NotebookLM to ask me topics that were NOT covered in the old exam questions.
My final exam is in January; I will not make this mistake again.
