What is Just in Time Knowledge
In my earlier blog entries, I mentioned that I am learning Python programming to automate my business. Even though, I am learning through Vibe programming. The learning curve to master a programming language is still steep. I need time to reach certain level of mastery to be effective. However, I urgently need to maximise the efficiency and effectiveness of my business.
I did an audit on my business processes. Firstly, I removed all unnecessary steps or work that does not bring me closer to the business goals. Secondly, I try to utlise whatever tools that I have. Instead of acquiring more tools, I ask what processes I can reduce and see whether my current tools have the functionality to fix my problem.
I call it "Just in Time Knowledge". I find out what is the problem that I want to fix and then decide what I should learn to fix the problem. This helps me to reduce the learning timeline and only focus on problems that I want to solve.
My immediate is task is to automate my emails to my suppliers and WhatsApp messages communications with my clients. Before you embark any side projects, be very clear what kind of problems you want to fix.
