Living Kindfully

What Jealousy Tells You

I wrote about my jealousy on other's success. As I reflect further; jealousy also tells me something about myself. When we feel jealous, we are only jealous about what the person has or experiencing. We are never jealous about the person's life.

I was jealous about another person's holiday. That means deep down, I too wanted a holiday. However, I was using work as an excuse not to take one. I may not be able to take luxurious holiday, but I still can spend quality time with the family. There is no reason not to do, and my jealousy tells me that I should take action.

I cannot avoid feeling jealous about others. I can let jealousy tell me what I really want from life. We cannot deny its existence. We immediately feel it when we are trigged.

Occasionally, listen to your jealousy. Let jealousy tells you what you want from life, so you can take action to achieve it.
