When Work is Play
I caught up with my high-school friends. We graduated in the mid-nineties. We kept in touch via emails and now via WhatsApp. Some has retired and many are preparing for retirement. I am one of the rare ones who are in the trenches still chasing the dream.
I admit that there are days where I hate my life and wish things can be easier. Most of the time, I be missing my work and thinking about it. The work stress is high and hours are long but I enjoy my work. Especially when I win contracts or solve customer's issues. Those are the things that give me energy and joy.
Now I have reached full capacity in doing everything on my own. My next set of challenges is to automate the business and delegate my work. It is a form of gamification, I have reach the "next level" and I have new challenges to overcome.
Work can be fun, if you can see it as a form of high-stake game. As long as you do not die in the process, it has unlimited turns. There are moments where you will fail through a series of challenges. By learning from mistakes and resilience, you just need one win to make all the differences.
Work can be play. It does not matter your age or what your friends are doing; you are allowed to chase your dreams.
