The Unused Things, The Unfulfilled Dreams
I look at the house, I noticed a barely used kettlebell, dumbbells, cheap colouring pens, brand new books, unopened sticky pads and much more. These are the many things that I have bought over the years.
I am a calculative person. I do not buy decorative things. I do not buy art pieces or souvenirs for the house. I believe that things should be practical. So, I thought I am being wise with money. I am wrong, I have many "decorative" things that I thought I will use but never did.
I wanted to work out from home, so I bought kettlebell and dumbbells. I hardly use them. The colouring pens and sticky pads are for my studies, but I prefer using NotebookLM. I wanted to consume more protein; I bought soy protein and a handheld bender. I did not even use it once. There are many books that I want to read, but I spent more time watching YouTube.
We have many expectations on ourselves. We want to be a better person. We thought, if we can have this "thing" then we can change our life. We find many excuses to buy things, but we are still the same old self.
If you are thinking of buying anything so you can improve your life, look around your house first. There are many changes still waiting for you. You do not need that thing, you need to take action.
